Wendy’s is proud to sponsor the 2024 Pride of the Northwest Marching Band Competition! This competition brings together high school marching bands to perform at Grants Pass High School on October 12th. Last year, Wendy’s launched the We Love Band Program supporting high school marching bands at its origin in Spokane, but is now expanding to further promote bands and their events throughout the Pacific Northwest.
As sponsor of the Pride of the Northwest Marching Band Competition, Wendy’s will provide monetary support as well as advertising for the event. Also, each director and talented musician in the competition will be gifted a We Love Band swag item such as a We Love Band bucket hat, water bottle, or key tag coupon.
The We Love Band initiative recognizes and supports high school musicians, while alleviating financial difficulties for band programs far and wide. The concept is inspired by Founder Dave Thomas’s value: Give Something Back. Wenspok, the Spokane headquartered franchisee, aims to uphold this value in their stores and community events like Pride of the Northwest. The new We Love Band program was founded by Tannor Glumbik, President’s EA & Marketing Manager. Tannor is a former high school marching band musician. During the summer, Wendy’s showed their support for high school marching bands by hosting sponsor nights and delivering swag during high school marching band practices. Teaming up with the Pride of the Northwest, Wendy’s is ecstatic to grow We Love Band to honor traditions from all over the Northwest. The We Love Band program, which was founded in 2023 in Eastern Washington, was elated to partner with the Grants Pass High School Band Boosters this previous weekend to expand this Wendy's program into Oregon. Collaborating this year to bring Southern Oregon the 30th Pride of the Northwest Marching Band Competition presented by Wendy's, the Wendy's Team had a blast distributing free coupons including Frostys and Dave's Singles via the Wendy's prize wheel, touring the band campsites surrounding Grants Pass High School to distribute this year's edition of the We Love Band Bucket Hat featuring Frosty playing the sousaphone, and assisting in handing out awards with a cameo appearance from the Frosty Mascot. Congrats to all the California and Oregon bands, who competed Saturday at PNWMBC, for your outstanding display and dedication to the fine arts.
